Small Parts Isolated and Destroyed: Small Parts Isolated and Destroyed: 1988

This is one of those 90's bands you don't hear about, but when you do, wish you would have sooner. When someone explains that a band is a mix between Rush and Black Flag, you know it will be unique, and amazing, and your ears will perk up as you think, "where?! where is this band? what could this sound like?" Well, here it is! Just a couple albums I think are pretty interesting by this band, Nomeansno.

Wrong: Full Album: 1989

Protruding bass riffs, progressive rhythms, and spurts of punk rock create a plethora of sounds we find evident in so much music today. Wrong is the well-known album by this band. Some others include The Sky is Falling and I Want My Mommy, Why Do They Call Me Mr. Happy?, and All Roads Lead to Ausfahrt. These tunes have the energy of punk music, but the complexity and intelligent lyrical content of progressive music that deserves your full attention. It's a spectacle worth listening to.

Unfortunately, within the past week, the band announced their retirement after a long hiatus. Although we won't get to see them live, we still have album after album of Nomeansno to listen to and enjoy for years to come. Give them a listen!
